Help shape the future of liver treatment.

Researchers at the University of Birmingham are working on new treatments for patients with liver disease and cancer with unmet needs — this involves both new and repurposed drugs.

What are we doing?

  • Researching new and repurposed treatments for patients with liver diseases and cancer with unmet clinical needs.
  • Inviting patients to help guide our research and discuss the most beneficial treatment options.
  • Covering all stages of liver injury, from early-stage disease through to transplant-requiring cases.

How can you help?

  • We'd love to hear from you if you, or someone you care for, has had liver disease or cancer.
  • Contributors share lived experience, feedback, and materials that help shape our research priorities.
  • Sessions run across 4–6 meetings over 9 months, held mainly online.
